"The mission of the Aging in Place Business Roundtable is to provide education about local businesses and services that support personal choice and vitality in the second half of life, and to provide a forum to develop relationships with the members of the roundtable who serve in the that community."

Who is the AIPBRT?
The Chamber of Commerce Aging in Place Business Round Table (AIPBRT) is composed of businesses and organizations that provide products or services which enable and support their clients who are choosing to "age in the place of their choice." The group's meetings and activities provide opportunities for members that serve the 50+ age market to work together to educate themselves and their clients of the diverse public and private programs and services in our area that may benefit clients, their families and caregivers, and the greater community.
AIPBRT as a Resource
AIPBRT members are dedicated to serving their clients, informed about others who serve, and willing to educate others. Therefore they are a rich resource for consumers, caregivers, families, and other service providers. To learn more about the services of any AIPBRT member or for advice on matters of interest for people over 50 years of age, contact the member using the information provided in this section, or contact any member of the AIPBRT Executive Committee.
AIPBRT Group Meetings
The AIPBRT meets monthly, usually on the first Friday of each month from 9:00am - 10:30am, usually at Our Lady of Peace, 751 Hillsdale Drive in Charlottesville. For specific meeting details, refer to the the Events section of this page. Meetings are free of charge.
Chamber members are welcome and encouraged to attend the AIPBRT meetings even if they are not members of the AIPBRT. Non-Chamber members - both service providers and consumers -- are welcome to attend two meetings before becoming Chamber members.
The purpose of AIPBRT meetings is to educate the group about topics that will serve their clients or their practices and to learn more about the services that other members offer. Meetings are structured but are collaborative and informal; they are a place for us to learn from and enjoy the fellowship of each other. Members regularly refer clients between each other based on the trust built during these interactions.
AIPBRT News
If you would like to be reminded about upcoming meetings and other AIPBRT news, go to "Subscribe" section of the home page of Chamber website (or click here), enter your information and check "AIPBRT."
AIPBRT Membership
Any active member of the Chamber who serves the 50+ age market can become a member of the AIPBRT. Being a member of the AIPBRT allows your company to participate in the speakers bureau and to participate in collaborative marketing activities. To become an AIPBRT member, you/your company must (1) be a member of the Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce, (2) serve the 50+ market, (3) have any relevant company employee attend three monthly meetings within six calendar months, and (4) make a member spotlight presentation on or after your third meeting within six months. After you have attained membership, missing six consecutive meetings will cause your membership to be suspended. To reinstate your membership, you must attend another three meetings within six months.
Chamber members are welcome and encouraged to attend the AIPBRT meetings even if they are not members of the AIPBRT. Non-Chamber members are welcome to attend two meetings before becoming Chamber members. Members of the AIPBRT receive preferred placement in group events and communication vehicles.
Speaking at an AIPBRT Meeting
There are two speaking opportunities at each AIPBRT meeting: a ten-minute "Member Spotlight" section where an AIPBRT member describes their services, and a thirty-minute section in which a speaker educates the group about a topic of interest. If you would like to request to speak in either of these sections, contact Brice Jackson, Speaker Chair, on this site, call him at the address below, or email him at bjackson@connectionschiropractic.com.
